The Annals of Ulster - A history of Ireland from A.D. 448 to 1604. Compiled up to 1498 by Cathal Maguire, who died in that year, and continued by Rory O’Cassidy and others. The greater part of this work from 448 to 1378, has been published with a transla- tion. 2 vols. 8vo.
The Annals of Connaught - A history of Connaught from 1223-1562. The author is not known. 174 pages folio.
The Annals of Loch Cé - A history of Ireland from A.D. 1014 to 1590. The author is not known. The text, with a translation, was published in 1871. 2 vols.8vo.
The Annals of Clonmacnoise - A history of Ireland from the earliest times to A.D. 1408. The author is not known. The original Irish text has been lost. A translation made in 1627 has just been published. 1 vol. 8vo.
The Life of Hugh Roe O’Donnell (1573-1603). Written by Lughaidh O’ Clery about 1625. The Irish text, with a translation, was published in 1894. 1 vol. 4to.
The Martyrology of Donegal - Compiled by Michael O’ Clery in 1629. It gives the names of the Irish Saints, arranged according to the feasts. The text, with a translation, was published in 1864. 1 vol. 8vo.
The Annals of the Four Masters - A history of Ireland from the earliest times to A.D. 1616. Compiled by monks in Donegal in 1632, the principal compiler being Michael O’ Clery, a Frnaciscan; the other compilers were Fearfasa Ó Maol Chonaire, Peregrine Ó Duibhgeannain, and Cú Choigcriche Ó Cléirigh. The Irish text, with a translation by John O’ Donovan, was published in 1851. 7 vols. 8vo. Another translation of the portion from 1171-1616, by Connellan was published in 1846, 1 vol.8vo.
